About the Role

For our expanding European market, we are looking for an enthusiastic Product Owner based in Belgium (Hybrid - Ieper or Leuven) with an interest in business analysis and process improvement. You will bridge customer and internal stakeholder needs critically analyzing their core business processes – with business strategy and technical execution.

You'll own the product backlog of a Scrum-based team, define requirements derived from deep process understanding, and collaborate closely with the Agile teams (Engineering, UI/UX Design, and QA/Testing), product management, and local stakeholders. Success requires strong business process analysis skills, technical understanding, and excellent communication to align teams and deliver solutions that optimize customer workflows.

Essential Responsibilities

• Analyze processes & requirements to define vision & find optimizations.
• Own & Prioritize the team backlog, linking features directly to process value.
• Translate roadmap items & process improvements into clear, actionable user stories.
• Champion operational needs within Agile teams & guide effective sprint delivery.
• Manage release readiness (comms, docs) for new features & process changes.
• Monitor product impact on workflows/goals and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in software/SaaS environments.
• Expertise in Agile backlog management, requirements gathering & business process analysis/optimization.
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication, influencing & problem-solving abilities, focused on process-driven solutions.
• Experience in Logistics, Telematics, Fleet Management, or optimizing B2B workflows is highly beneficial.
• Global or multi-regional experience is an advantage; a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within EMEA (up to 25%); fluent English required. A good understanding of Dutch is preferred. (French or additional languages are a plus).

Over de functie

Voor onze groeiende Europese markt zijn we nu op zoek naar een enthousiaste Product Owner, gevestigd in België (hybride – Ieper of Leuven), met interesse in bedrijfsanalyse en procesverbetering.

Je vormt de brug tussen de behoeften van klanten en interne stakeholders – waarbij je hun kernprocessen kritisch analyseert binnen het kader van de bedrijfsstrategie en technische uitvoering.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de product backlog van een Scrum-team, definieert vereisten op basis van diepgaand procesinzicht en werkt nauw samen met de Agile-teams (Engineering, UI/UX Design en QA/Testing), productmanagement en lokale stakeholders. Om hierin succes te boeken, zijn wij dan ook op zoek naar iemand met sterke analytische competenties rond bedrijfsprocessen, technisch inzicht en uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden. Zo kunnen alle betrokken teams op één lijn gebracht worden, wat de optimalisatie van interne en externe processen enkel ten goede kan komen.

Essentiële verantwoordelijkheden

• Analyseren van interne bedrijfsprocessen en klantvereisten om mee de productvisie en daartoe behorende nuttige optimalisaties te bepalen.
• De scrum-backlog beheren en organiseren, waarbij features rechtstreeks gekoppeld kunnen worden aan de procesverbetering.
• Roadmap-items en voorgestelde proceswijzigingen vertalen naar duidelijke, uitvoerbare user stories die voor ontwikkeling kunnen worden opgepikt.
• De operationele behoeften verdedigen binnen de Agile-teams en hen begeleiden naar effectieve implementaties en releases.
• Product releases voorbereiden, inclusief communicatie en documentatie van nieuwe features en proceswijzigingen.
• De impact van het product en de wijzigingen op interne workflows en resultaten opvolgen.
• Nauwe relaties met stakeholders uitbouwen en onderhouden.

Ervaring

• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als Product Owner of Business Analyst in software- of SaaS-omgevingen.
• Expertise in Agile-backlogbeheer, het verzamelen van requirements en het analyseren/optimaliseren van bedrijfsprocessen.
• Teamspeler die zich onderscheidt in communicatie, ownership en probleemoplossende vaardigheden en hierbij aandacht heeft voor procesgestuurde oplossingen.
• Ervaring in logistiek, telematica, fleet management of het optimaliseren van B2B-workflows is een groot pluspunt.
• Internationale of multiregionale ervaring is een voordeel; een relevant bachelor- of masterdiploma is gewenst.
• Bereidheid om af en toe binnen EMEA te reizen (tot 25%); vloeiend Engels vereist. Goede kennis van het Nederlands is een pluspunt. (Frans of andere talen zijn een extra troef.)
